Boooiiinnnnggg!!!

Well did I ever get my eyes opened!!! Finally took a minute to figure out my new Bodybugg system. I've been wearing it every since 12/23/10. All I've done is allow it to track my daily activity. Well so far, I have not hit my activity goals yet (mostly due to my back problem)!! Not moving enough!!!

Then...and here's the bad part. I just put in my calories for the day. Guess what, I'm about 500 calories over where I need to be!! Also, waaaayyyy over on my fat, cholesterol and sodium intake. What an eye opener!!! Yeeeikkkess!!!

Now by the information I've entered into the Bugg, if I would hit the goals on both my activity and calorie intake, I should lose 2 pounds per week. Obviously I'm eating exactly what it takes to maintain, because I have not lost a pound for quite some time.

So guess what? It's time to get REAL serious about what I put into my body and what I do with it. Obviously less and better quality food and more exercise!!!!

With this new information, I am more focused and I'm going to get my butt back on track!!!

Do you need an eye opener?

STAY FOCUSED!!!

  1. It's definately an eye opener when you having something working out the calories! I wouldn't be where I was today without my calorie counting app on my phone. It seriously takes all the guesswork out and as long as I'm honest about what I put in, then I have to lose (as long as I come in on/under the target calorie limit). Without it, I'm a bit lost!!! I swear!

  3. I never heard about the bodybugg until you wrote about it in Dec. Sounds like a very helpful tool.

I think, too, Joy, that it is the last part that is the hardest to get off. keep that in mind, too. Although ficus is important I have been really tracking my cals this week. Hard, hard to stay under 1200!

  5. Wowza - that is an eye opener. The good news is that you know what you need to do! I've been sick for the past week, so I'm just focused on eating well and getting my water intake back to normal right now. I'm totally going stir crazy without getting out for a run.

  8. That is definitely an eye-opener. What about how the Body Bugg shows you how right after you eat your body's metabolism kicks into high gear and starts burning more calories. A good reason to eat several small meals a day, I'd say.
