Keeping Up

Just got back from my cardio class ~ I had a blast!!!
The class is packed with people of all ages. There are teenagers, young moms, older mom's like me, some really old mom's and one guy. I'm right in the middle.
I had a blast tonight because I was able to keep up with the teenagers, while some of the young moms and people my age could not keep up. That makes me sooo happy!!
My fitness level is increasing every day. I am pushing myself harder and harder and I'm really starting to see some results. My trainer weighed me today and said I was down 3 pounds from last week. I think her scale is whacked because I'm still holding at 221 according to my scale. Anyway...It does not matter what it says, things are happening, I'm losing inches and I'm feeling great!!
How about you. Is your fitness level getting better every day?
Keep focused!!!

  1. Awesome Joy!! Man, this is the area I need to work on the most... just getting myself in gear!! I've got my eating down and all but it's the getting my body moving that needs to get better. You may have just inspired me!! :)

  2. WTG on your progress! How awesome it must feel to be able to keep up, not to mention how good I bet you feel after the workout. Hope you're having an awesome week :-)

  3. BIG BIG BIG NSV keeping up with the younguns!

(is that really how we'd spell that?! regardless...)

  4. I actually was thinking about this topic this morning while on the treadmill. My strength is definitely improving. Have you ever wanted to test yourself, just to see if you can do something....even though you probably shouldn't? Yep, I did that. I should not be running due to my back problem but I couldn't help myself. The last time I allowed myself to run (over a year ago) I lasted less than a minute. I gave it a go this morning even though I know I'll pay for it, but I ran for over 7 minutes without being winded. I was stunned. Now, I have to go and ice my back, but it felt great knowing that I'm stronger than I was.

  5. I'm like you fitness level is going up buy my scale doesn't seem to want to go down. Ugh!!! I'm sure this is just temporary, right? Keep up the good work.

  6. Thanks for so many wonderful comments on my blog. Love your support.

As far as this post: wow! You are really a rock star. Isn’t it so very cool when we have a blast doing exercise that once, not long ago, we thought we were incapable of.
I also love your post about stargazing for the holidays. That was great advice. I am going to write in days and times for me, maybe not exercise, but things that I would like to do to take care of me. Even if it is just taking some time to read or to blog.

Keep up your amazing efforts! Michele

  7. Yup = my fitness factor is definitely going up. And it feels good. Now to work on the scale part.

  8. It sounds like you are doing so well... I am positive that home scale will catch up with the trainer's scale soon. :-)

    And Happy belated Birthday!

  9. Thumbs up to you Joy, awesome job!!!!!

  10. WOOHOO! Sounds great! I wish my gym offered group classes!

  11. Congrats! I wish we had a gym close by. I would love to attend group classes. Keep it up! :)
