Stretched to my Limit!

Just got back from working out with my trainer...aka "Jillian". I think she wants to kill me or at least cause some serious damage! She definitely stretched me to my limit tonight!

Today we did another circuit. This is what I did.....

Without STOPPING....

5 minutes on the treadmill
1 minute squats and lifted 12-pound weights above my head
1 minute lunges and lifted 12-pound weights above my head
1 minute lifting - where you are bent at the waist, you let the weights hang toward the floor, then you draw them up to your chest and then you pull them back and extend your arm (out toward your bum)
1 minute curls (12 pounds weights)
1 minute push ups
1 minute plank

THEN WITHOUT STOPPING ~ I got to do it all over again....

The 2nd time she pushed me a little harder...FASTER, MORE REPS ETC....

There were moments when I thought I was going to pass out. She kept yelling at me to breath!! I guess I was holding my breath. Anyway I could not tell you what was going on. I really had to pray for the Lord to help me to get through it!

BUT I DID IT!!!

When she was done with me my face was red as a beet and I was a soaking mess!!! Then she sent me to the bike for cool down.

I ended up seeing a friend and we rode for 40 minutes. Where in the world did I get the energy for that?

Needless to say, I'm whipped right now and ready for bed.

Have you been stretched to your limit lately? Tell me about it!

Hugs!

  4. Oh boy, have I ever been stretched to the limit lately! But I'm working on getting it back together and trying to view it all as a bump in the road, not a major disaster.

The "stretching" part has been humbling and helped me realize I'm no where near "cured" and able to handle/maintain weight loss when a major life crisis happens.

Keep stretching, Joy - you're doing great!

  5. Congrats Joy on doing that workout!! Woo hoo! It is always easier to say we can't do something but in reality we totally can. I stretch myself every time I step on the treadmill.

  6. Good for you. I don't know if I'd have the mental toughness to do that. If someone was yelling at me like that, I'd probably burst in to tears!
